Aetovigla” is a group of six detached fully furnished holiday cottages built from curved stone and wood according to traditional architecture and with respect to the environment. The cottages are situated on the side of a hill on the eastern foot of mount Psiloritis (Idi) at a height of 800m. In the immediate area is the entrance to the Agia Irini gorge, 4km away is the historical village of Kroussonas and just 25 km to Heraklion City. Behind them stands the impressive mount Gournos which is a protected Nature reserve for the wide variety of plants, animals but mainly because the few remaining pairs of eagles Barbatus build their nests there. From the front of the cottages there are spectacular views of the surrounding plains and the sea in the far distance. Ecotourism Accommodation.
